A Soul of No Importance and Her Resurgence: Stephen King’s Outrageous Carrie White

S. Sivaranjani; E. Sugantha Ezhil Mary

European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine, 2021, Volume 8, Issue 2, Pages 1229-1232

This paper deals with analysis of the eponymous character of Carrie, one of the best characters crafted by Stephen King. Despite the success of the novel, Carrie received and still received negative remarks for the portrayal of the lead in a misogynistic manner and usage of genderbiased language. Whereas King magnifies only the position of a young girl; the deft handling of supernatural elements (telekinesis) in Carrie gives wings to her liberation thus keeping an end to her powerlessness despite possessing such an unearthly enormous power

IDEAL AND REAL CIVIL SOCIETY (On the example of the Republic of Uzbekistan)

Fakhriddin Musaev

European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine, 2020, Volume 7, Issue 2, Pages 578-583

As is well known, the formation of a free civil society with the state as its goal, each people is a multifaceted process combining methodological and specific socio-practical features. The article considers its philosophical and methodological aspects. A free civil society, operating as a form of social organization, and its consolidation as a state governed by the rule of law, is methodologically composed of three components. Firstly, there is the humanitarian and legal aspect, which covers the system of basic human rights and freedoms. Secondly, there is the legal aspect, which includes a system of legal acts aimed at the protection of human rights, the implementation of the priorities of the State governed by the rule of law and civil society in general. Thirdly, there is the institutional and legal aspect, which implies a constitutional separation of powers, which requires a balance of power for balanced and harmonious functioning, and imposes on it an obligation not to interfere.
The more people in civil society are equal, the freer, the more equal people will be. Understanding equality as equality of opportunity to meet needs means freedom. Because equality of all opportunities means freedom for every person.

THE LEGITIMACY OF POWER STRUCTURES AS THE FACTOR FOR THE THREAT RESISTANCE OF SOCIETY

Pakhratdinov Shukritdin Ilyasovich

European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine, 2020, Volume 7, Issue 2, Pages 913-919

The factor of legitimacy of power structures, which is the basis of threat resistance of the society, has been analyzed in detail in this article. Special attention is also paid to the main criteria for the legitimacy of power. An attempt is made to identify and analyze the nature and main characteristics of the legitimacy of power. Considerable attention is paid to the relationship between the concepts of “legitimacy of power” and“legality of power”. The methods used by the state to ensure political and economic manageability of citizens, taking into account the existing alignment of political forces have been studied.

Understanding the effect of menstrual cycle on kinematics and kinetics of exercise performance is important in the sense that menstrual cycle disrupts the hormonal balance of athletes. Changes in hormonal balance might affect exercise performance, and thus might affect longitudinal adaptations which occur from training, and also with biomechanical changes which increase the likelihood of injury. Twelve well trained elite female athletes voluntarily participated in this study. Thirteen kinematic and kinetic variables were measured via force platform during a counter movement jump exercise. General linear model one way repeated measure (ANOVA) and paired sample t test were used to meet the objective of this study. Three variables namely peak power (p = 0.030), mean power (p = 0.010) and peak velocity (p = 0.016) were significantly differed (p < 0.05) across the three menstrual cycle phases, where a reduction was clearly observed during the menses phase. Based on the results, menses phase was detrimental to exercise performance that requires explosive power component for elite level athletes. Thus, training with aims and goals of developing explosive power adaptation is not recommended to be carried out by elite athletes during their menses, with change of strategy during competition is suggested when a decrease in explosive power output might impair related sports specific performance. As a conclusion, athletes’ menstrual cycle process should be monitored closely with training and competition for performance purposes
