Introduction: After bleaching treatment, patients often require additional intervention for composite resin restorations. The initial composite restorations after bleaching with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) 25-40% cannot be done immediately, due to the presence of free radical residues as a result of oxidation of the bleaching material it is recommended to delay bonding for 1-3 weeks. If the adhesive restoration are carried out immediately, the shear bond strength of the restoration would reduced. Free radicals can interfere with resin infiltration and inhibit complete polymerization. The use of antioxidants as an effective alternative treatment to overcome free radical residues and increase the shear strength of post-bleaching restorations. Alpha tocopherol is an antioxidant that has been known to bind free radicals, that adhesive action can be carried out immediately after bleaching. The potential natural resource being developed is moringa leaves (moringa oleifera lam) which is rich in antioxidants. Ecological biosynthesis of nanoparticles (NPs) are gained much interest among researchers. In present investigation, iron nanoparticles were synthesized via green synthesis method using Halophila ovalis seagrass extract, having the capacity of reducing iron ions to iron nanoparticles. Synthesis nanoparticles was confirmed by UV-vis spectroscopy, Scanning electron microscope (SEM) with EDS anlysis, Distribution of the elements were characterized by Elemental mappling in SEM analysis. Antioxidant activities of synthesis nanoparticles were measured against 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH), TAA and TAP.

The aim of the present investigationwas plan to evaluate the antioxidant potential of Extracellular Polymeric substances (EPS)from the marine actinobacterium of Actinomadura sp.T3S5. Marine actinobacteria organisms are potentially known for antimicrobial, anticancer, antiviral, insecticidal and enzyme inhibitory activities. The extracts identified some of the major phenolic compounds, which might be responsible for the antioxidant potential and cyto-protection. This primary study was to examine whether EPS from Marine Actinobacterium of Actinomadura has potentially to show in vitro antioxidant property.The antioxidant potential of Extracellular polymeric substance was tested by DPPH, Total antioxidant assay and scavenging of nitric oxide assay. The antioxidant activity by DPPH method (48%), inhibition of total antioxidant activity(59%), and Nitric oxide (47%). Marine actinobacterium of Actinomadura is greatly suggested for beneficial biomedical applications and in the development of new eco-friendly biomaterial for environmental cleanup.

diabetes, metabolic disorders, atherosclerosis, and cardiovascular diseases. The incidence of such diseases is growing day by day around the globe and causes various complications. The disease not only affects the quality of life but also the mortality rate with this disease is too high. Considering these factors, it is important to come up with a simple yet potential solution for reducing oxidative stress. Therefore, RV New Visions Health Care Pvt. Ltd has developed an RV forte capsule as a potential treatment for reducing oxidative stress and help to fight against cancer.
Materials and Methods: Antioxidant activity of RV forte capsule was evaluated In-vitro by using DPPH scavenging assay, H2O2 radical scavenging assay, and Reducing power assay. Further, toxicity testing in animal models and the standardization using the HPTLC method was done.
Results: The formulation RV forte capsule showed significant anti-oxidant action when compared with standard ascorbic acid. The percentage scavenging activity of RV forte capsule was found to be 14.2 - 60.05 % at 50 - 500 ug/ml by DPPH scavenging assay,17.57 – 55.27 % by hydrogen radical scavenging assay, and the reducing power was found to be increasing with increased absorbance at 50-500 ug/ml concentrations. In toxicity testing, no toxicity was found at the dose of 100mg/kg.
Conclusion: The study thus proves, RV forte capsule has significant antioxidant activity

Comparative evaluation of Coenzyme Q10 dentifrice Vs. Commercially available dentifrice in treatment of gingivitis: a randomized double blinded clinical trial.

Background: Gingivitis is the most common forms of periodontal disease seen among all age groups. It is an inflammation of gingiva without any destruction of underlying periodontal structures. Deficiency of coenzyme Q10 in the gingival tissues may lead to gingivitis. Therefore, this study was undertaken to evaluate the anti- gingivitis effect of Co enzyme Q10 as a dentifrice. Methods: Thirty patients were enrolled in the double blinded randomized controlled trial wherein 15 patients were allocated in test group and 15 patients in control group. For each patient scaling was performed and Co enzyme Q10 dentifrice given in test group and Colgate advanced dentifrice in control group and plaque index(PI), gingival index(GI) and bleeding index(BI) scores were recorded at baseline and 30 days. Results: Marked reduction of Plaque index, Gingival index, and Bleeding Index were observed after 30 days in both the groups. But, there is no statistically significant difference was observed in both the groups after 30 days. Conclusions: It can be concluded from the current study that Coenzyme Q10 has potential for reducing the gingival inflammation, when used in the form of dentifrice. No sideeffects were noted in any of the patients. Therefore, future studies are required for testing the antiplaque and anti-gingivitis efficacy of Co enzyme Q10.

The research aimed to find out the content of active compound of simplicia and the ability of methanol extract of Gracilaria salicornia, Halimeda gracilis, Halimeda macroloba, and Hypnea asperi as the antioxidant. Phytochemical testing of macro algae simplicia was conducted qualitatively to determine the presence of the active compound, i.e. phenolic, flavonoids, tanin, saponin, steroid, triterpenoid, alkaloid, and hidroquinon. The test method of antioxidant activity is the capture of free radical 1,1-Diphenyl-2-Picrylhidrazyl (DPPH). The active compounds which belongs to macro algae that are tested are flavonoids, steroids, and saponins. The results of examination of antioxidant activity showed the highest percentage of free radical capture of DPPH methanol extract of G. salicornia was 7,228%. The result of univariate ANOVA in antioxidant activity, indicating that there was an effect of concentration on free radical capture of DPPH (p ≤ 0,05) and did not show the interaction between species of macro algae and concentration. The highest percentage of interception DPPH free radical of methanol extracts of each macro algae tested i.e. G. salicornia, H. asperi, H. gracilis, and H. Macroloba respectively

Introvit A + WS-amino acid-vitamin in the diet resulted in an increase in milk productivity due to

Our results show that the pesticides butylcaptax, dropp and karate are highly toxic pesticides, when exposed to these pesticides, the activity of the enzyme of the P-450 monooxygenase system is disrupted. Also, the research results showed that when poisoning with the above pesticides, ultrastructural, and therefore functional changes in the subcellular components of embryonic hepatocytes occur. When using RAF (plant antioxidant factor), enzyme activity and other indicators are significantly restored, which indicates that RAF has antioxidant properties.

Medicinal plants and plant derived products have been part of the health care system since ancient human civilization. Traditional medicine uses plant extracts because of it’s antioxidant activity. In contrast usage of synthetic antioxidants are being restricted due to several limitations. Thus, there is always demand for newer and alternative phytomedicines. The aim of the present study is to analyse phytochemical components and to explore the In vitro antioxidant potential of methanolic extract of Enicostemma hyssopifolium (MEEh). The plant extract was prepared by organic solvents. The MEEh was used for GC/MS analysis and for exploring the prospects of Enicostemma hyssopifolium. The radical scavenging bioassays such as DPPH and ABTS were carried out to study in vitro antioxidant potency. The lipid peroxidation assay was performed to analyse their inhibitory effects and ferric reducing power of the extract was also evaluated. GC/MS analysis revealed that the plant is a rich source of phytochemicals such as 3,5-Dimethoxyacetophenone, Ergost-5-en-3-ol which are known to have antioxidant potency. In the antioxidant assay of MEEh the IC 50 was found to be 655.3>306.6 μg/ml. In lipid peroxidation assay, 33.45% of inhibition was found at 1000 μg/ml. The findings of the study revealed the potential of Enicostemma hyssopifolium as a source for natural antioxidants. It revealed that the plant could be a promising alternative agent in scavenging free radicals and may have ameliorative effect in complications associated with free radical damage.

Synthetic food colorant and bioactive chemicals are now jeopardizing buyer’s health safety due to their unwanted side effects. However, global demand for such chemicals are still in rising condition. Canthaxanthin is a naturally occurring keto-carotenoid which has a significant application in poultry industry, fishery science or aqua farming, cosmetics and nutraceuticals industries owing to its attractive colour and strong antioxidant property. Canthaxanthin also has certain involvements with antitumor activity and cancer, lipid metabolism, immune-modulatory activities etc. Animals generally acquire this pigment via their diet establishing the use of canthaxanthin as a feed supplement (especially poultry and fishery industry). In certain cases, other pigments and chemicals are used along with canthaxanthin to increase its stability and activity. Newly explored microbial sources for canthaxanthin from all over the globe, trying to retrieve its industrial hold over the chemical synthesis. Its production by unicellular microbes needs new comprehensive researches to ensure customers attention along with market demand from industrial sectors.

A series of new 2-Hydroxy benzoic acid (3-Hydroxy benzylidine)-Hydrazide and 2-Hydroxy benzoic acid (3-Hydroxy -4-methoxy benzylidine)-Hydrazide based Schiff base derivatives, have been synthesized. Synthezied Schiff base ligands were screened for anti- oxidant, anti inflammation, and anti diabetic activity. The compounds were screened for their Antioxidant activity was evaluated by DPPH radical scavenging method and compared with standard ascorbic acid. Anti inflammation activity were examined by albumin denatuation and compared with standard aspine. Antidiabetic activity against α-amylase enzyme and compared with standard drug acarbose.

DETERMINATION OF THE NUMBER OF BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCES PREPARING THE MEDICINE PROPERTIES OF TREES FOR CORRECTION OF ANIMAL POISONED PESTICIDES

The total amount of biologically active compounds - antioxidants, flavonoids, and vitamin C in different trees for example in Morusnigra L., Prunuspersica L., Serasus Vulgaris L., and Juglansregia L. leaves were found at different seasons. The results showed that the highest concentration of antioxidants in spring was found in walnuts and peaches than in the summer season. The number of walnut leaves was about 9.105 ± 0.05 mg/g, and in peach, leaves were about 9.082 ± 0.075 mg/g. In spring, the content of flavonoids in the leaves of grapes was high and amounted to 4721 ± 0.521 mg/g, in the summer their number was 3825 ± 0.255 mg/g, and in the fall there was a decrease in flavanoids to 1.460 ± 0.2253 mg/g. In the spring, in the stalks of grapes, flavonoids were 4.386 ± 0.046 mg/g, in cocoons 0.348 ± 0.023 mg/g.

Plants, acting as an essential source of nutrients and medicinal ingredients, have long
been known for their natural arsenal. Human beings have used plants as medicinal items for
around 600,000 years. The preparations released from certain plants lead to plant medicines.
Today, plant medicines are popular worldwide, where herbs are used as primary medicines
by around 80% of the world’s population. This medicinal importance is primarily due to the
richness of bioactive phytochemicals in plants.
In this study, we aimed at screening the phytochemicals and biological activities of
Tarlmouniaelliptica(DC.) Fresh leaves, derived from plant material, were dissolved in four
different solvents methanol, chloroform, benzene and distilled water. The phytochemical
composition of extracts showed the presence of alkaloids, phenolics flavonoids and
terpenoids. DPPH radical scavenging and Fe2+ chelating activity assays and
Phosphomolybdenum assay were used to assess the antioxidant potential. The antiinflammatory
potential was evaluated by analyzing the Inhibition of albumin denaturation.
Biological activity of extract such as anti-diabetic and anti-fungal activity was also tested and
the result showed maximum activity of plant species.
Collectively, our observations suggest a promising potential for
Tarlmouniaelliptica(DC.) during the treatment of diseases associated with oxidative stress,
aberrant inflammatory responses, and glucose-sugar control. However, further experimental
procedures are needed to support this postulate.

Comparative Study of Xanthine Oxidase Inhibitory Activity Of Methanolic Leaf Extracts Of CalophyllumBlancoi (Bitaog), Diospyrospilosanthera (Bolongeta) and Syzygium Cumini (Duhat)

Gout is characterized as an inflammation and warmth in the joints. It is associated with hyperuricemia wherein an upregulation of xanthine oxidase in purine degradation leads to increased levels of uric acid in the blood. Gout is not fatal. However, it affects one’s quality of life. Thus, this research primarily focuses in determining the inhibitory activity of xanthine oxidase in the methanolic leaf extract of bitaog (Calophyllumblancoi), bolongeta (Diospyros pilosanthera), and duhat (Syzygiumcumini) in gout. A quantitative-experimental research method was used in the study and the data were obtained by measuring the percent inhibition of the samples using UV-Vis spectrophotometer at 290 nm. The results showed that the methanolic leaf extract of above stated plants exhibited exemplary inhibition in comparison with the standard drug, allopurinol. The IC50 value determines the ability of the inhibitor to decrease the biotransformation of a substrate. The principle behind IC50 is, the lower the value the higher the inhibition. The bitaog (Calophyllumblancoi) trials have the lowest IC50 value with an average of 124.3 after the standard drug, followed by bolongeta (Diospyros pilosanthera) have an average of 155.3 IC50 value. Then duhat (Syzygiumcumini) showed the highest IC50 an average of 208.8.The bitaog (Calophyllumblancoi), next to allopurinol, showed the highest inhibition among all the extracts followed by the bolongeta (Diospyros pilosanthera). The least inhibitory activity was observed in duhat (Syzygiumcumini). Hence, it can be concluded that bitaog (Calophyllumblancoi), bolongeta (Diospyros pilosanthera), and duhat (Syzygiumcumini) can inhibit xanthine oxidase using in vitro analysis

A novel N-(5-oxo-2-phenylimidazolidin-1-yl)-4-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-6-methyl-2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-carboxamide (1) was synthesized using Biginelli reaction at room temperature. The dual heterocyclic compound 1 was characterized using the analytical techniques such as FT-IR, 1H & 13C-NMR, Mass analysis, UV-visible and fluorescent spectroscopic system. The data on charge density was used to explain the characteristics of molecular systems. In addition, in the form of the complete and partial density of states, the HOMO-LUMO energy gap, electrostatic potential map and some quantum chemical insights have been obtained. Furthermore, to demonstrate the possible applications of dihydropyrimidinone 1 in nonlinear optics the polarizability and first hyperpolarizability were measured. Molecular docking is also determined in order to illustrate the overexpression of estrogen receptor in 80 % of 2J9M protein. The compound 1 was subjected for its antioxidant (ABTS) and anticancer activity (DPPH) by in-vitro analyses and found with substantial antioxidant activity.

Characterization Of Exopolysaccharide From Lactobacillus Casei K7/3

An exopolysaccharide (EPS) in the amount of 20 mg/L and 1200 mg/L was obtained from the culture supernatant of Lactobacillus casei K7/3 grown in MRS broth and in a broth based on the whey of cottage cheese, respectivily. In the IR spectrum of EPS, intense absorption bands were found, generally characteristic of a class of carbohydrates. The molecular weight of the EPS obtained from L. casei K7/3 was 5600 Da, the polydispersity index was 1.9. The EPS from L. casei K7/3 consisted from a dextrose, mannose and galactose in molar ratio of 2.7:1.5:1, respectively. Minimal Inhibition Concentration (MIC) values of an EPS against Listeria monocytogenes ATCC 1911 revealed between 10 mg/mL and 80 mg/mL. An in vitro study of the antioxidant activity of L. casei K7/3 EPS in the diphenylpicrylhydrazine (DPPH) system showed that radical scavenging activity (RSA) has being increased depending on the concentration of the investigated EPS. The maximum %RSA was detected at 4 mg/ml being 26%.

NON-ANTIOXIDANT ENZYMES AND IN VITRO ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF ROASTED SOYBEAN AND FLAXSEED

The roasted forms of flaxseed and soybean were chosen for study as they are found to be enriched with phenolic components. They are also found to possess medicinal benefits particularly against non-communicable diseases like cancer. Hence the investigator analyzed the non-antioxidant enzymes and in vitro antioxidant activity of roasted soybean and flaxseed. After a deeper analysis, it was observed that flaxseed possessed greater anti-oxidant activity than soybean comparatively.
