The perceived esthetics of each smile was graded on scale of 1-5, 5 being excellent aesthetics. The obtained data was tabulated and statistical analysis was done using SPSS( Version 23) .There was a statistically significant association with the position(p=0.012) and shape(p=0.006) and cervical prominence of the canine(p=0.000) with the perceived esthetics. The position and characteristics of the canine play a major role in the perception of aesthetics of the smile.
