Biocompatibility is the ability of a material to elicit a biological response, when applied to the body, without causing a chronic inflammatory reaction, foreign body reaction or toxicity, is related to the interaction of the cell or any biomaterial. A few materials are completely inert from the physiological point of view since, most of the components with a variety of potential toxicity. In addition, chemical reactions during cure of the material may also produce undesirable effects. In order to increase knowledge about the characteristics and properties of materials and their interaction with the biological environment, this study aimed, through literature review, guide and inform didactically professionals and academics on the importance of biocompatibility of restorative materials more direct use in dental practice: amalgam, composite resins and glass ionomer cements.

Monocrotophos toxicity induced hormonal and biochemical disruption in liver and ovary of Cyprinus carpio communis

The organophosphorus pesticide, monocrotophos induced toxicity in fish’s adobe has been studied to access the biochemical and hormonal disruption caused in the liver and ovary of the fish. Monocrotophos pose serious risk to biochemical parameters, enzyme activities and level of hormones in the fishes. A direct relationship between concentrations of monocrotophos, elevated cholesterol levels and depressed estradiol concentrations have been traced in the study. The elevated levels of cholesterol in the ovary apparently reflect the reduced rate of its utilization for steroid synthesis by the ovary as significant effect of pesticide. The decreased estradiol level causes decreased production of vitellogenin as well as hampers the development of oocytes in ovary of Cyprinus carpio communis which was also evident in the experiments

In silico toxicology tools, steps to generate prediction models, and categories of prediction models. The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive overview of existing modeling methods and algorithms for toxicity prediction (element D above), with a particular (but not exclusive) emphasis on computational tools that can implement these methods (element E), and expert systems that deploy the prediction models (element F). Due to the nature of this expanding field, this study cannot provide an exhaustive overview of all the seven in silico components mentioned above. Prediction of Toxicity-associated properties of new chemicals is a big challenge. In admetSAR, probabilistic, regression as well as qualitative classification models were implemented for 'Human Ether-a-go-go-Related Gene Inhibition', 'AMES Toxicity', Carcinogenecity', 'Fish Toxicity', 'Tetrahymena Pyriformis Toxicity', 'Honey Bee Toxicity'.Among all the synthesized Pyrimidine derivatives (P1 to P5) , Pyrimidine derivatives P4 and P5 shows lesser toxicity.

EVALUATION OF AN IRRITATING AND ALLERGIZING ACTION OF A BIOPELLICLE FOR THE TREATMENT OF PENETRATING EYE INJURIES

The article presents the results of a study of acute and chronic toxicity, irritating and allergenic effects of biocoating for the treatment of penetrating eye injuries. It has been established that a bioactive, biodegradable pellicle does not have a toxic effect, is safe and, according to the classification of toxicity, belongs to the 5th group of substances “practically non-toxic substance” and can be recommended for use in the manufacture of medicines intended for the treatment of eye injuries.

TO THE SAFE APPLICATION OF DEFOLIANT COTTON PHOSPHODEPHOSPHATE IN AGRICULTURE OF THE REPUBLIC

Abstract. The article presents the materials of experimental research on the new defoliant of
cotton "Phosphodef". By parameters of acute toxicity the studied preparation belongs to low
hazardous compounds, IV class of hazard. The irritating effect of the preparations on mucous
membranes of eyes and skin; cumulative properties of the preparation have been studied in
acute experiments. Hygienic standards of the preparation in air, water, soil and food products;
sanitary protection zones, terms of employment are scientifically proved. According to the
research results, the use of defoliant "Phosphodeph" in agriculture from hygienic positions is
not objectionable.

Abstract. The article presents data on toxicological and hygienic characteristics of
new plant protection means introduced into the Republic's agriculture. As a result of the
research, it was established that new pesticides are low hazardous; they have irritating effects
on mucous membranes of eyes and skin in different degrees; they have functional cumulation.
Hygienic norms and standards of pesticides in environmental facilities and regulations for
their safe use - sanitary protection zones and employment terms.

THE JUSTIFICATION FOR A RATIONAL DESIGN OF A DENTAL IMPLANT WITH A LOCKABLE MOUNT - ATTACHMENT

Abstract: At present, the implants are performed in the form of one screw element, in
which the intraosseous and extraosseous parts are parts of the whole screw, as well as two
parts in the way of separate screw elements connected, one of which acts as the intraosseous
part and the extraosseous part [4,5,9,11,12,17,27]. The team of the Department of Hospital
and Faculty Orthopedic Dentistry created a domestic dental implant, made in the form of a
screw contains the intracostal part in the form of a rod with a thread and a section with a
smooth surface, the extraostal part for the crown in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped,
which is connected to the screw with a ball head. The intracostal and extraostal parts are
made as one whole.
