Resume: The article notes the versatility and multifunctionality of the concept of “translation”, the specific features of its transformation, the relationship and the sphere of contact between law and language; the ways of achieving the adequacy of the translation are indicated, the most difficult cases of the process of translation of legal terms, such as words denoting the realities of national jurisprudence, terms and terminological phrases containing vivid expressions cultural component of knowledge, phraseological expressions not recorded in modern dictionaries, abbreviations accepted and widely used in a professional environment.

Sexism And The Theoretical Canon: Analyzing The Impact Of Beauvoir’s Le Deuxieme Sexe

MS. JASPREET KAUR

European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine, 2020, Volume 7, Issue 7, Pages 286-294

This paper makes an attempt to analyse the impact of Le Deuxième Sexe ( The Second Sex- originally published in French in 1949) by Simone de Beauvoir where she exposed the ways in which the masculine dogma and beliefs exploit the sexual disparity to generate systems of discrimination. The French version of this book could reach only limited French speaking readers, but it rocked to new heights of fame and became the Bible of feminism in different parts of the world after being translated into English. Further this paper takes into consideration the ways in which this book by Beauvoir grew to the stature of becoming a seminal work of feminism, having a lasting impact on the psyche of black American feminists, white American feminists and Indian feminists with numerous other supporters of feminism across the globe. My intention in this paper is to explore how the English translation of Le Deuxième Sexe acted as a connector between cultures, languages and races. The paper makes an attempt to highlight the mode in which translation becomes significant both as a linguistic and cultural activity that contributes in the evolution of socio, political and cultural movements like feminism. Although Simone de Beauvoir wrote about her immediate local concerns in her book Le Deuxième Sexe but with the English translation into The Second Sex it reached a glocal scenario. Beauvoir awakened the women folk worldwide and helped them in transforming into new women who were ready to conquer the erstwhile male dominated world.

The Caspase-1 enzyme is one of the crucial elements in activating the protein synthesis of interleukin-1β and leading its corresponding signaling transduction. On the contrary, intense signaling through IL-1β contributes to acting as an inflammatory mediator and further responsible to align various inflammatory-related diseases. We designed and developed an optimistic non-linear ordinary differential equation model of NFkβ activating IL-1β through the Caspase-1in the genetic regulatory path in macrophage cells. A representation of genetic transcription and translation of IL-1β is included in the mathematical compartment model, which is subsequently enabled by the Caspase-1 enzyme, which is a prime regulator of the transduction of IL-1β signals. In the case of body normal physiology, intense signal transduction due to IL-1β subsequently causes the regulation reduction of Caspase-1 activation through genetic control of NFKβ. The calculated parameter values from various literature held to understand the compartment model involve the rate of gene transcription and translation of IL-1β and its control effect through cellular Caspase-1transcribed enzyme level. The genetic process represented in the form of a compartment model of IL-1β signal transduction and its analysis spectacles that the positive state of the signal transduction capable of producing oscillatory convergence signal with consequent increase and decrease in parameter condition. We aimed to find how inflammatory mediator (IL-1β) is maintained within the immune cellular system and the harnessing benefit of our compartment model design and development are elaborated concerning other models of genetic control within the reviewed literature.

Any science gains independence if it has its own object, subject and terminology. While translation remains a field of linguistics, the problems it considers do not go beyond the comparative study of two languages. Translation studies in its current state includes all areas of research that study translation as a process and as a result.
