Assessment of the stress, anxiety, and depression in students during COVID-19 pandemic

Background: shifting of the school classes to online format owing to social distancing
norms led to amplification of academic stress, independent learning pressure, dropouts,
everyday life abandonment, less study chance made researchers focus on assessing the
impact of coronavirus on the mental condition of the students. This requires prompt
intervention as stress can further increase in subjects adopting conventional coping
strategies and in subjects with pre-existing stressors.
Aim: The present study was conducted to assess stress, anxiety, and depression in subjects
at a defined geographical area to assess psychological needs in subjects dealing with
causal factors and the pandemic.
Methods: In 156 subjects, DASS 21 scale was used having 21 questionnaires that were
answered by the subjects themselves and were concerned about stress, anxiety, and
depression. The responses were recorded on a scale of 0 to 4 where 0 meant little time/none
and 3 meant most of the time. The responses were recorded based on symptoms severity in
the last week before answering the questionnaire. The interpretation of the DASS 21 scale
was divided into categories of normal, mild, moderate, severe, or very severe. The collected
data were subjected to statistical evaluation.
Results: For gender, only anxiety was statistically significant (p=0.01) which was higher in
females with the value of 1.72±0.993 compared to males with the value of 1.47±0.881. For
the age anxiety levels were significantly higher in subjects of age ≤ 20 years with 1.76±1.01
compared to ≥ 21 years with the value of 1.52±0.883 (p=0.02). For familial history also
significantly correlated to anxiety with p=0.004, whereas for depression and stress the pvalues
were 0.758 and 0.238 respectively and were non-significant. For family history, it
was significantly related to anxiety with a p-value of 0.12, whereas, it was non-significantly
related to depression and stress with respective p-values of 0.753 and 0.297. The
socioeconomic status was also significantly associated with anxiety with the low
socioeconomic group having a strong association having a p-value of 0.25.
Conclusion: The present study concludes that the depression, anxiety, and stress in
students during COVID-19 was seen ranging from mild to severe levels, whereas, majority

of the students showed normal levels of DASS. Also, positive family history of COVID-19
and family income was associated with increased depression, anxiety, and stress in the
students.

Annotation: In this article, we aim to reflect on the activity that is formed as a result of the application of theoretical knowledge in practice. Social activism is one of the most important aspects of an individual’s activities. It is manifested in the participation of the individual in society and community work; based to a certain extent on the understanding of political and moral identity. Fostering social activism is not only an increase in the level of participation in public affairs, but also the formation of motives that determine the moral orientation of young people. The main pedagogical and psychological conditions of activity are the formation of the student community and each of its members in the form of social attitudes that meet the requirements of society and time - the accumulation of experience. A number of scientific researches on improvement of pedagogical mechanisms of social adaptation of students, development of technologies of preparation for pedagogical activity are carried out in the world. In particular, it is important to improve the professional socialization of students by ensuring their didactic adaptation to higher education, the development of optimal pedagogical conditions for the effective organization of tutoring.
The model of social adaptation of students of pedagogical higher education institution was based on four stages of interaction: interpersonal, interfaculty, interaction with the higher education institution (HEI), professional-value stage (in the first stage of study at the pedagogical higher education institution it is important to overcome the following didactic difficulties Significant complication of the content and volume of educational material (one report contains information on five or six schools, academic lyceums and vocational colleges); new forms and methods of teaching in relation to the school, academic lyceum (lectures, seminars, colloquiums, debates and others); the complexity of the language of the scientific text and lecture material; the lack of skills and abilities of the student to work independently.

Health students’ perspectives on the feasibility of telemedicine implementation in Indonesia

Background:Telemedicine is widely introduced to maximize ICT utilization in improving patient health outcomes by increasing the access to health and medical information. The interaction between health professionals and ICT implementation in telemedicine leads to massive changes in the health systems.
Aims:This study aims to investigate the future health professionals’ opinions about the feasibility of telemedicine implementation in Indonesia.
Methods:Expository essays on telemedicine were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. These essays were written up as part of the quality management in healthcare courses in the public health bachelor’s degree of Universitas Airlangga. 34 essays were included in the analysis.
Results:Students’ perspectives were portrayed through four overall feasibility themes: 1) technical feasibility was the most concerning issues in the implementation; 2) economic feasibility should be calculated by considering investment and operational costs; 3) operational feasibility remained low when the health professional competence in ICTs was lacking and unmotivated; 4) legal policy was urgently required. Conclusion: Based on the results, it can be concluded that the future health professionals agree that telemedicine is crucial for Indonesia.

Basically. educational institution program suits to the needs of each institution. And
educational institution program is closely related to the needs of teachers, the number of
students, facilities and infrastructure, financial possession, curriculum, learning strategies,
guidance and counseling, educational supervision, and community relations. In the toddlerhood
stage, the children seek to explore freedom as a process of self-discovery. Children have their
own rituals to control and organize the environment. A big toddler has the motto "I can do it
myself". When they do something positive, they develop a sense of autonomy. They imagine as
people who can manage the situation well to meet their own needs. In the final stages of
toddlerhood, children can already experiment with autonomy, as a strong basis for selfconfidence
and the pleasure of being free. Toddlers keep struggling with activities until they can
master them.

The Influence of Social Media Facebook and Twitter on Student’s Rational Choices

The student rational choices is contributes to elections. Student’s rational choices is one of issues at the elections.. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of social media facebook and twitter on student’s rational choices. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The study population was 1978 people with a sample of 322 students. The sampling technique uses the table of Krejcie & Morgan formula. Hypothesis Testing Results for Social Media Facebook variables significantly influence Student’s Rational Choices. Hypothesis testing Social Media Twitter variables significantly influence Student’s Rational Choices. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that the Social Media Facebook and Twitter variables simultaneously have a significant influence on the Student’s Rational Choices. The study expected to serve as a reference to the electoral candidates in an effort to encourage the increasing number of electoral votes among universities

The Role Of Pedagogical Technologies In The Formation Of Students' Scientific Outlook

The article focuses on the role of pedagogical technologies in the formation of students' scientific worldview and its specific features. At the same time, the problem of pedagogical technologies has been studied in depth from a pedagogical point of view on a scientific basis. However, when they are applied to the educational process, it is noted that the issue of psychological impact on the student's personality (his mental processes) has not been seriously studied so far. After all, the human personality is a psychological object with a very complex and multi-layered structure. Pedagogical technologies affect the student's personality as a whole, creating certain changes in it. Pedagogical technologies influence the formation of their scientific worldview as a way of conveying certain content to the minds of students. Also, the harmony of form and content of educational tasks, that is, the placement of content on the basis of effective pedagogical technologies, is the basis for the development of students' scientific outlook. Proof of this is reflected in the article.
