European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine, 2020, Volume 7, Issue 2, Pages 1688-1696

Abstract: The article is devoted to one of the most important problems of our time
— children whose behavior contradicts generally accepted social norms and rules, i.e.
from the point of view of the risk of their actions in relation to society. The principal
probability of leaving a teenager in the "field of deviance" is determined by the presence of
risk factors, the essence of which allows us to identify the quality of self-esteem, the level of
anxiety, aggressiveness and affillation as criteria for the development of social competence
of children at risk. The article discusses the concept of "children at risk", explains the
reasons for getting children into the "risk group". Also, the author describes the main
value orientations of this group, especially in the development of adolescents included in it.

Methods: An electronic search was performed using databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, PubMed Central, Science Direct, and Scopus by using keywords such as (“McGurk Effect”) AND(“Coping Strategy” OR “Coping Style” OR “Distraction”) AND (“Fear” OR “Anxiety”) AND (“Behavior” OR “Behavior management”) AND/OR (“Pediatric Dentistry” OR “dentistry”). The last search was performed in March 2020. Exclusion criteria included studies published in a language other than English and abstracts from congress.
Results: The McGurk Effect based Attention focused coping style with incongruent audiovisual stimuli can be an innovative behavioral technique in pediatric dentistry in reducing the child’s anxiety regarding dental drill.
Conclusion: It seems that the highly structured McGurk Effect based Attention focused coping style can be effective in managing the internal perceptions and emotions (e.g., anxiety, fear) that are aroused during the dental restorative procedure and can guide favorably the child’s behavior in the dental setting However, more evidence is required regarding the clinical outcome of applying this new coping strategy in behavioral pedodontics in near future

The government, the private sector, and the community, including health cadres, have an important role to succeed the family planning program. Through cadres, family planning promotion can reach a wider community.
Aims: This study aims to explain the relationship between cadre perceptions and their behavior in promoting family planning based on the Health Promotion Model (HPM).
Method: The research design used was correlational with a cross-sectional approach. Participants were 200 cadres from the community health centers obtained by cluster sampling techniques. Participants filled the perception questionnaires and the data was analyzed using Spearman's rho test (α=0.05).
Results: The analysis showed that there were correlations between perceived benefits (r = 0.490), perceived barriers (r = 0.148), perceived self-efficacy (r = 0.420), activity-related effects (r = 0.165), and situational influence (r = 0.481) with cadres’ behavior in promoting family planning at the community health centers (p<α<0.05).
Conclusions: Positive perceived benefits of action, perceived barriers to action, perceived self-efficacy, activity-related effects, and high situational influence will increase the cadres’ good behavior in promoting family planning to the community. This study aimed to determine the effect of positive deviance approach on reducing the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Pangkep Regency. This studi used mix-method design to identify positive deviance behavior in preventing DHF and intervene by applying the positive deviance to the community in Pangkep Regency. The number of samples for quantitative data was 126 respondents and qualitative data was 12 informants. Data collection was conducted through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and interviews. The research data were analyzed using logistic regression test and McNemar tests. The results showed the most influential factor in DHF incidence was positive deviance. Positive deviance behavior to prevent DHF were used long-sleeved clothing, use oil, and planting medicinal plants in the yard. The results of the intervention showed there was a significant influence of intervention using a positive deviance approach to increasing the planting of medicinal plants in the yard to prevent DHF, and there was a decrease in the incidence rate of DHF in Pangkep Regency. Positive deviance approach could be used as an effort to prevent and control DHF.
