STUDY ON SERVICE QUALITY OF PATIENT CARE IN A MULTISPECIALITY DENTAL CLINIC
European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine,
2022, Volume 9, Issue 9, Pages 280-288
Background: Dental clinic is a part of healthcare service. In the current scenario, there are over 13,000 registered dentists in Kerala, most of them set up independent clinics in different parts of the state. Therefore, there is high competition in the field of dental health care. Patient expectations and demand for quality services have increased, hence provision of quality services is important for patient retention referrals. Dental clinics should manage/ maintain, improve upon service quality to enhance patient satisfaction and for better patient care. An ideal clinic must quality services to its patients to improve their satisfaction. The rising literacy rate, higher levels of income, increasing awareness through media, has brought patients closer to demand quality dental health care. Thus, this study on service quality in the dental clinic provides feedback for clinicians for their patient oriented and patient-centric efforts in attracting and satisfying the patients.
Objectives: The main objectives are to identify the determinants of service quality, to assess the service quality experienced by the patient in the clinic and to identify 'gap' in expected and experienced service quality by the patients.
Methods: following are methods used in this study. Firstly ,conceptual phase, which is to assess the service quality experienced by the patient’s questionnaire in the clinic and to assess the expectations of patients about the service quality.Secondly empirical phase,in which data collection using servqual questionnaire.Thirdly analytical phase,in which analysis of data collected and result interpretation and recommendations are also considered
Results: Service quality gap was least in the case of safety and communication aspects. Gap was minimum for behaviour of the staff instilling confidence in patients and for responsibility of the staff in providing right information to patients, also for communicating with the patients in a language they could follow.Quality gap was highest for physical facilities and convenience of operating hours
DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT ASPECTS OF SECONDARY NEUROENDOCRINE CHANGES IN ACUTE TWIN BRAIN INJURIES
European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine,
2021, Volume 8, Issue 2, Pages 572-581
Nowadays, neuroendocrine symptoms following twin brain injuries (twin brain injuries) are more common and negatively affect the outcome of Brain Double Injuries by reducing the overall quality of life. However, research from the scientific literature suggests that neuroendocrine dysfunctions, particularly hypopituitarism, play an important role in the etiology of complications. It has been found that postoperative hypopituitarism has been a clinically common phenomenon in the last twenty years and is likely to contribute significantly to these disorders, given the parallelism of adenohypophysis among those following neuroendocrine changes associated with hypopituitarism other than cerebral palsy. In this our scientific study, we sought to explore hypothesized pathophysiological mechanisms based on neuroendocrine anomalies after a Brain Double Injury through an overview, improved on the basis of an analysis of early diagnosis and treatment aspects
Some Clinical Features Of The Chickenpox In Adults And Children In Modern Conditions (Review Article)
European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine,
2020, Volume 7, Issue 3, Pages 2716-2721
Chicken pox is one of the leading places in prevalence after acute respiratory infections. The urgency of the problem is determined by the high incidence of chickenpox, the widespread spread of the pathogen, an increase in the specific gravity in the general infectious pathology, and the ineffectiveness of preventive measures implemented in practice (isolation of patients, quarantine). Despite the low incidence of chickenpox in adults, the risk of severe complications and even death is higher than in children. The greatest risk of the dysfunctional course of chickenpox is noted in people with immunodeficiency. This is characteristic, first of all, for patients with HIV infection and patients with chronic diseases (diabetes mellitus, autoimmune diseases, bronchial asthma, chronic hepatitis, systemic diseases of the connective tissue).
The aim of the study was to conduct a retrospective analysis of the clinical and laboratory features of the course of chickenpox in children and among the adult population of the Samarkand region, as well as to offer practical measures for the prevention of disease in practical health care.

EFFECT OF WET CUPPING USE AMONG PATIENTS COMPLAINING OF PAIN ATTENDED IN THE HIJAMA CLINIC MAKKAHAT SAUDI ARABIA 2019
European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine,
2019, Volume 6, Issue 1, Pages 205-215
Wet cupping is a traditional and alternative treatment that is still used to reduce patients’ pain in several Eastern and European countries. It has been proven effective and has an essential role in reducing pain and as a treatment for many diseases in past studies. Nowadays, there is a growing interest in the field of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). This discipline includes a diverse set of approaches used for prevention and treatment of many diseases. Several benefits of CAM have been proven, and it may be considered an effective modality for disease prevention, treatment of non-communicable diseases and for improving the quality of life of individuals with chronic medical conditions.2 Many patients who may not be satisfied with the outcomes of modern medicine, particularly those with chronic diseases, may be satisfied with the outcomes of CAM. Pain is the most common reason for seeking therapeutic alternatives of conventional medicine. Cupping, wet or dry, is an ancient treatment, which was broadly utilized in several communities, and it was recommended by the Islamic society.
Aim of the study: The study aimed to assess the effect of wet cupping use among patients complaining of pain attended in the Hijama clinic in Makkah City at Saudi Arabia.
Method: A retrospective records review study was conducted using medical records of patients who attended in the Hijama clinic at Makkah, KSA from January 2019 to December 2019. Our total, 200 patients attended the clinic during the year 2019. Out of those patients, 120 were complaining of pain and were included in the study. The Chi-square test and Multivariate logistic regression were used to measure the association between the various socio-determinants and the wet cupping use.
Results: A chi-square test of independence was performed to determine the association between the frequency of WCT use and the main complaint, independence was performed to determine the association between the frequency of WCT use and the main complaint. There was a statistically significant association between them, Chi-square X2 =86.663, p=0.001.
Conclusion: Wet cupping has positive effects on reducing pain. There are promising effects in favor of using wet cupping for improving quality of life of patients with chronic conditions, cupping is recommended as a complementary treatment modality for chronic medical conditions, especially pain .
