NFLUENCE OF INDUCTION AND INHIBITION OF THE MONOOXYGENASE SYSTEM OF THE LIVER ON THE THYROID STATUS OF THE RAT'S BODY

In order to assess the dependence of the thyroid status of the organism on the functional state of the monooxygenase system of the endoplasmic reticulum of hepatocytes in sexually mature male rats, induction and inhibition of the monooxygenase system of the liver by its inductors and inhibitors was caused. As inducers, we used known induction drugs - benzonal (benzobarbital) and zixorin (flumecinol), and as inhibitors a chemical compound - cobalt chloride and a blocker of histamine H2-receptors - cimetidine. Benzonal was administered orally at a dose of 50 mg / kg body weight for 3 days, and zixorin was administered at a dose of 40 mg / kg body weight for 4 days. Cobalt chloride was administered once intraperitoneally at a dose of 30 mg / kg of body weight, and cimetidine was administered orally at a dose of 100 mg / kg for 10 days. It was revealed that during the induction of the monooxygenase system of the liver by its inductors - benzonal and zixorin, there is an increase in the content of thyroid hormones - triiodothyronine and thyroxine in the blood against the background of no change in the level of thyroid-stimulating hormone. When the monooxygenase system of the liver is inhibited by its inhibitors - cobalt chloride and cimetidine, an increase in the content of thyroid hormones - triiodothyronine and thyroxine in the blood is also observed, but against the background of a statistically significant decrease in the content of thyroid stimulating hormone. It is concluded that there is an indirect relationship between the functional state of the monooxygenase system of the liver and the thyroid status of the body.

Screening Of Trichoderma& Copper Fungicide Against ColletotrchiumCapsci Causing Anthracnose Of Chilli Under In Vitro Conditions

Anthracnose caused by Colletotrchumcapsici is one of the most important diseases of chilli. In the present investigation, inhibitory effectof different Trichoderma species were observed in lab condition. It was found that all four treatments,were efficient in mycelia growth inhibition of Colletotrichumcapsici. Trichodermaharzianum gave best result in dual culture with growth inhibition of 83.8% against whereas T. viride showed (83.3%). &Carbendazim 79.4% mycelium growth inhibitionrespectively.

In Vitro Evaluation Of Trichoderma Species Against Colletotrichum Falcatum Causing Red Rot Of Sugarcane

Red rot caused by Colletotrchum falcatum is one of the most important diseases of Sugarcane. In the present investigation, inhibitory effects of different Trichoderma species were observed in lab condition. It was found that all five Trichoderma species were efficient in mycelia growth inhibition of Colletotrichum falcatum. Trichoderma harzianum gave best result in dual culture with growth inhibition of 84.4% against whereas T. koningii showed minimum growth inhibition of 76.2%.

Isolation and Identification of fungi from post-harvest stored onion varieties and their control measures with organic formulations

The research work entitled “Studies on preventive measures to reduce the postharvest losses in onion (Allium cepa L.)” was carried out at NIFTEM, Sonepat, Haryana, India during Rabi seasons of 2014-15 and 2015-16. The research work was carried out with objectives of studying the effect of application of organic formulations (applied as pre-harvest foliar spray viz., Neem based formulation (Besara) at the rate of 20ml/L; Panchgavya at the rate of 100ml/L; Trichoderma viride (Bio Shield) at the rate of 50g/L) on growth period of selected onion varieties (Pusa Madhavi, Pusa Riddhi, Pusa Red, NHRDF Red and Agri found Light Red) grown during Rabi season in Haryana region. The formulations were applied as four pre-harvest foliar sprays starting from 30 days after transplanting and repeated at an interval of 15 days. The main aim of this experiment was to isolate and identify the pathogenic fungi causing spoilage of stored onion bulbs under cold and ambient conditions. Additionally, the efficacy of organic formulations against the isolated pathogenic fungi was studied under both the onion storage conditions. Fungal isolates responsible for disease and rotting as identified under cold storage condition were Penicillum purpurogenum, Penicillum griseofalvum, Penicillum citrinum and as Aspergillus niger under ambient storge contion. Under in-vitro condition, Neem based formulation (Besaara) was most effective for inhibition of fungal growth. The efficacy of organic formulations in restricting the fungal growth was higher with higher concentration (i.e. at 20%).
