A Systematic Literature Review on Pushing Down Techniques during Labour Second Stage on Maternal and Neonatal Outcome

Abstract

Background: Delivery is a very perious moment in every womens life who go through the labour process. It is actually a very painful process for mother during the time of labour contraction, women get exhausted due to continous bearing down and pain. The severity of pain incresese as the uterine contraction becomes stronger. Objectives: The objective of this systematic review is to identify various pushing methods and to know both the advantages and disadvantages associated with them. Methods: Eligibility criteria: the different studies published on this topic was used. Conclusion:In this total 18 studies was reviewed which showed that if the right pushing technique is practiced by the mother during right time the rate of exhausation and pain is less so maternal satisfaction his there with less complications.
