AbstractIntroduction: Spinal anesthesia is most commonly used for lower abdominal surgeries due to its low cost and ease of administration as well as rapid onset of anaesthesia. Adjuvants like Fentanyl and dexmedetomidine are used to accelerate and prolong the anaesthetic effect depending on the purpose. This study was done to compare the effects of intrathecal hyperbaric bupivacaine with fentanyl and bupivacaine with dexmedetomidine for lower abdominal surgeries.
