Abstract

Hemorrhoids are considered one of the most common anorectal diseases with a prevalence of 4.4% up to 36.4% of the general 1 population, and a peak incidence between 45 and 65 years2,3. Hemorrhoids are clusters of vascular tissue, smooth muscle, and connective tissue arranged in three columns along the anal canal. They results from the increased pressure in haemorrhoidal plexus of vein, with elastic tissue in anal cushions acting as a degeneration of contributing factor. Treatment modality includes conservative treatment, OT procedures, and suture hemorrhoidopexy. Minimally invasive procedures are the new trend in surgery. Suture hemorrhoidopexy procedure was first described by Dr. Antonio4 Longo in 1993. It avoids wound in sensitive perianal and anal areas and, as a result, has the advantage of significantly reducing postoperative pain and hospital stay Dr Shantikumar Chivate 4modified this technique and termed it as Transanal Suture Mucorectopexy. Thus this study helps to learn the new technique for better treatment to the patient.
