Education and Society: The Case for Eco-Literacy

Abstract
Education is the most powerful weapon to change the World. Rather than going against nature, we must work with nature. We all must understand our responsibility and act, as if we all are the Collector of our city. It reveals one fact that we have to be progressive towards virtuous cycle from vicious cycle & can’t adopt the status- quo approach. One area where there is a maximum needs to focus on, like ecological techno-architecture & design, organic farming, etc. In addition to producing enough food to support its own population and export, India also has access to enough arable land. It generates some of the most food goods in terms of volume. However, millions of people go without two square meals every day. Without the application of an eco-lens, our society will not advance. Therefore, becoming Eco literate is the first step.The goal of this paper is to paint a clear image of an alternative future that includes environmentally friendly, just, and sustainable systems for the production of food, energy, fibre and textiles, housing, and water. The general objective of this article is to establish a framework for good change through raising literacy rates and giving decision-makers at all levels, from households up to the international level.
