Abstract
Given the complexity associated with the Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) caused by the novel Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), tracking the viral variants prevalent among the infected population assumes increased significance. Moreover, there is growing evidence that SARS-CoV-2 is continuously emerging in the form of new variants that have increased transmission potential. This study is carried out to evaluate the prevalence of viral variants among the infected population.
