Abstract
Proper environmental conditions are required for the survival of any living organism. Similarly even spread/transmission of a micro-organism is affected by environmental and geographical conditions. Viruses are microorganisms meaning below 10 microns in diameter. They contain RNA/DNA genome, nucleocapsid, and a protein coat. Though small in size, viruses are capable of causing unimaginable complications to our health. Majority of the viruses are known to be affected by the geographical conditions they exist in making them capable of surviving on the surface for many hours to periods. Geographical conditions like temperature, humidity, methodological changes, change in latitude by host etc have a great impact on the survival and transmission of pathogenic virus. This review thus highlights the various parameters in the geographical habitat influencing the existence and transmission of the viruses.- Article View: 49
