Abstract

Indramayu Regency has many ancient manuscripts that remain scattered in its society.
However,theownersofthisancientmanuscriptarestillreluctanttoopenor lendthemforresearch material. The reasons are various, starting from the fear that the ancient manuscripts will be damaged to the fearof the irancestors 'curseifopenedcarelessly. Oneofthemanuscripts inthe Indramayu Regency is the ancient Legok Kolot manuscript stored in the Darul Ma'arif Legok Lohbene rIslamic BoardingSchool, Indramayu. This study aims to describe the efforts to preserve the Legok Kolotmanu scrip through the digitization process scarried out at the Holy Grave of Prabu GeusanUlun, IndramayuRegency. This research uses adescriptive-qualitative methodwherethe research data obtained by observation, interview, and documentation study techniques. This research produces a digital manuscript of the Legok Kolotmanuscript. The hopeisthat this digital script can beaccessed quickly, add sinsightand knowledge to the broade rcommunity who readsit and can becomeone of the identities and culturalriches of the Indramayupeople.
