AbstractSuicidal tendency is a major cause of injury and death. Knowing the information about this epidemiology of such behavior is important for policy-making and prevention. Generally, this tendency is more prevalent among men whereas women, young, married and psychological disorder people exhibits more nonfatal suicidal behaviors. So many researchers proved that suicidal behavior has focused on patterns and correlates of prevalence. The researchers should focus on synergistic effects of modifiable risk and protective factors. The researchers must use the results in ongoing efforts to decrease the significant loss of life caused by suicidal behavior.
