Data collection uses the method of observation, documentation and literature study, which are then processed using qualitative data analysis. The shape of the animal is only found in the shape of the head. Embodiments of statues and reliefs are also dominated by human ornaments / costumes, both on the head, body, and hands. In addition, Garuda's statue and relief poses appear entirely human poses. This embodiment represents the therianthropic form of the Garuda statue and relief.
