Abstract
Bioaerosols are airborne biological particles which may exist in solid or liquid form. The bioaerosols consists of various types of living organisms. They may contain harmful pathogens such as virus, bacteria or fungi. As they get entrained in the atmosphere and take a long time to get deposited, they have a high potential to contaminate the environment and pose health risks to human beings and other life forms. In present article the characteristics, sources and the control mechanisms of the bioaerosols has been discussed briefly.
