Abstract
The worldwide cloud computing reached two hundred and forty billion US dollars in the year 2016. It is necessary to improve resource utilization to meet the various user requirements. Traditional resource allocation is based on a fixed price model. The virtual machine allocation problem is strongly NP-hard and is tedious to solve, considering the time factor. Multi-resource allocation increases in time as the number of users gets increased. While choosing the virtual machine, the user can choose the type configured by the providers. This significantly impacts the revenue of the cloud service provider. This paper formulates an optimal VM scheduling and management process to promote the QoS during service execution.
