Abstract

The present pandemic has developed a sense of fear among the consumers of physically visiting the shops and stores as it leads to a greater chance of catching the deadly disease which has completely changed the way people operate in their day to day lives. With the increasing number of online options, and the current pandemic forcing people to stay indoors have shown a paradigm shift in the use of online portals and websites to order groceries like fruits, vegetables and other perishable & non-perishable items. While the use of online websites has increased almost two folds since the pandemic, it is worth analysing whether such trend will continue once the pandemic is over, or not. The present paper aims at doing a quantitative analysis based on primary data to anticipate the trends in the post-pandemic era.
