Abstract

In the study, there were different numbers of branches of the left anterior descending artery (LAD), the presence of one branch in 17 cases 33.2% and two branches in 113 cases 55.9% and three branches in 21 cases 10.4% and the absence of any branch in one case (0.4%). The incidence of anomalies in females was 29 (14.4%) while in males was 44 (21.5%). The prevalence of coronary artery dominancy was found in 175 cases (86.8%), the RCA was dominant; in 24 cases (11.8%), the LCA was dominant; and the incidence of codominance was observed in 3 cases (1.4%). The incidence of anomalous anatomical origin and course of the coronary arteries in our study was observed in 4 cases (1.96%) where the LCX arises from RCA, absence LMCA was found in 3 case .(1.48%)
