Abstract
Anal fissure or fissure in ano is one of the commonest benign anorectal disease. It is usually associated with an increased sphincter tone. Patients often complain of bleeding PR or pain while passing stools. The gold standard treatment is partial lateral internal sphincterotomy, but there are other conservative managements which can prove useful. This study focuses on the population visiting a tertiary care hospital in one year.
