Appendicular mucocele is a very uncommon condition. It can be discovered by chance or be mistaken for acute appendicitis, depending on the situation. To minimize postoperative and intraoperative complications, it is critical to have an accurate diagnosis before the surgery in order to select the most appropriate surgical therapy. To achieve this goal, Ultrasonography, and in particular computed tomography, must be widely utilized.
