: About 9% of all adult fractures are ankle fractures. The primary method of therapy for such injuries is open reduction and internal fixation. However, problems might arise after surgery, and the results are not always as expected. To assess the functional results of bimalleolar ankle fractures treated with open reduction and internal fixation, this study was conducted.
