Histopathological Spectrum of Periampullary Tumours with Special Emphasis on Immunohistochemistry

Abstract

Background:Periampullary tumours are one of the most common cause of cancer related deaths. They have least survival rates. As most of the periampullary tumours are malignat tumours, early diagnosis and management improves the survival. Ampullary adenocarcinomas shows distinct morphologies with specific immunohistochemistry profile.
