Introduction: Acute Pancreatitis is an acute inflammatory process of the pancreas and significant cause of morbidity and mortality. Treatment of patients with acute pancreatitis is based on the initial assessment of disease severity. Aim: To determine the value of computed tomography evaluation in the early diagnosis of acute pancreatitis and to assess the clinical outcome based on Modified CT severity index.
