Background: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of micro vascular complications of Diabetes mellitus and leading cause of blindness. Mean Platelet volume is a marker of average size and activity of platelets. Larger platelets are younger and exhibit more activity and related to these complications.Objective:to study the association between mean platelet volume and Type 2 Diabetes, and its correlation with diabetic retinopathy
