Abstract

Aims and objectives: The present study was conducted to study red cell distribution width (RDW), and red cell distribution width to platelet ratio (RPR) as early predictors of severity in Acute Pancreatitis and their correlation with BISAP scoring system. Materials and Methods: A hospital based prospective observational study was conducted in the Department of General Medicine, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital, Jaipur. Total 117 Patients diagnosed with Acute Pancreatitis according to Revised Atlanta Criteria were included in the study.
